Besides taking some time out of our day to crap on Chris Simms’ terrible QB rankings, things have been languid on the Tua Tagovailoa front. Unless, of course, you’re one of the millions and millions of Tagovailoa fans who are waiting patiently for Fanatics to ship your jersey. (hurry TF up!)
But the main reason for the lack of news is simple:
A) Not a whole lot is going on right now as teams try and figure out the proper way to reopen with the league’s new COVID-19 guidelines.
B) Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa has yet to move to South Florida. He has yet to visit the team’s facilities or work out with his fellow playmakers.
But according to Safid Deen of the Sun-Sentinel, that is all about to change– as per multiple sauces–Tua will move into his new home later today.
This could start a snowball effect.
Miami and their doctors are eager to get their hands on their promising young quarterback. And I’m sure Tua is anxious to get to work and build a rapport with his wide receivers and Mike Gesicki.
So, in the words of the great Will Smith.
“WELCOME TO MIAMI”
“BIENVENIDOS A MIAMI”‘
Most exciting, however, is what Kevin Wilk, a renowned physical therapist, told the Sun-Sentinel earlier today about Tua’s progress this offseason.
“He’s doing mircaulously well. The miraculous part is that he healed so well. The second part is, he’s been so well at getting his strength back, which usually takes a long time after something like this.”
This is excellent news for a player that a few months ago, many believed may never play another down of football. Obviously, that was worst-case scenario, but some questions needed to be answered. But it appears Tagovailoa is doing anything and everything he can to get ready for the 2020 season.
Best of all, we are inching closer and closer to the start of the 2020 season. And although the NFL and NFLPA are in talks to shorten the preseason, it shouldn’t be long before Dolphins’ fans get an up-close look at their new QB.
Now if only Fanatics would ship our gd jerseys.
